Bariatric & Weight Loss Surgery

We work closely with the bariatric surgeons from the Medical Center and other institutions, to manage patients who require body contouring procedures after significant weight loss following bariatric surgery or diet. A large number of patients are treated each year by staff members of our division with a variety of procedures, personalized according to each individual’s needs and requirements.

Such procedures include:

• Various designs of body contouring procedures from abdominal lipectomies to circumferential (belt) lipectomies.
• Breast lifts, reductions, augmentations.
• Correction of facial laxity.
• Arm lifts.
• Thigh and buttock lifts.

These procedures are designed to improve function and quality of life for patients with a significant weight loss after gastric bypass, lap band, and other bariatric procedures.  Some of these procedures are covered by various insurance carriers while others are considered of cosmetic nature.
