Illinois Community of Excellence in Environmental Health

University of Illinois at Chicago, School of Public Health, and Great Lakes Center for Occupational and Environmental Health are the recipients of a DHHS-Public Health Service, Association of Schools of Public Health Grant. This project is designed to address the workforce development needs of environmental health agencies and professionals in Illinois and the Great Lakes Region. Some aspects of this project are designed to provide coordination between UIC's School of Public Health and public and environmental health agencies. Other aspects provide continuing education for these agencies, health hazard evaluations, and a pilot grants program.
