The Administrative Fellowship Program

The University of Illinois Medical Center at Chicago is proud to present its Administrative Fellowship Program and welcome qualified post-graduate candidates for an extraordinary year of training, development, and mentorship. Our Administrative Fellowship program has a long-time history within the organization and the fellow is considered an active member of the management team.

The Administrative Fellowship provides in-depth exposure and participation in the strategic leadership and direction of the organization. Working with the Executive Leadership team, the fellow embraces a hands-on role in financial and operational projects. The one-year fellowship provides a unique opportunity to demonstrate initiative, follow-through and critical thinking skills through responsibilities such as Administrator-on-Call and project management. The program also helps to develop working relationships with physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals. In addition to working within the Medical Center, you will be exposed to leaders within an academic medical center and world class centers in the Illinois Medical District.

"This is my chance to prepare health care leaders of the future. As the chief operating officer, my role is to teach the fellows about the issues that are important to their development and growth. I have to ensure that great educational experiences are available for the fellow."
