The Illinois Medical (IMD) District Guest House Foundation

The Illinois Medical (IMD) District Guest House Foundation has been working in coordination with the University of Illinois Medical Center, Rush University Medical Center, John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital to provide affordable housing to families of patients receiving medical treatment in our medical centers.

The IMD Guest House has temporary facilities located at 1926 W. Harrison St., Chicago IL. (The IL. Medical District Apts. Building), which is located within walking distance of the University of Illinois Medical Center. The building includes the following services and amenities:

• 24-hour security
• Each unit has a kitchenette (with refrigerator, mini-microwave oven), large walk-in closet, telephone, A/C and cable television
• Laundry facilities
• Close proximity to public transportation
• Travel agency on site
• Parking facilities.

The rates for the apartments are $50.00 per day (one bedroom apartments) and $40.00 per day (for the studio apartments).

The IMD Guest House opened its facilities in November 2005 and families of patients from Rush University Medical Center have been using their facilities with great success.

The Department of Guest Services will be handling all reservations and referrals to the IMD Guest House. Individuals interested in staying at the IMD Guest House can contact the Department of Guest Services Monday-Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm at
