Where Will We Take Care of You?The University of Illinois Medical Center is proud to have the first transplant intensive care unit (ICU) in the city of Chicago. This new facility is located on the 7th floor of the Medical Center and is designed to provide a caring and comfortable atmosphere for our transplant patients and their donors. The 12 private rooms on ICU are part of the new Walter Payton Liver Center launched in September 2007. www.walterpaytonlivercenter.org
After the transplant, our patients are seen in our new state-of-the-art transplant clinic, located near the Medical Center. The out patient facility centralizes all transplant services provided by the transplant team. Located in the hospital, this modern clinic offers patients a private and patient centered approach to care. For your convenience, the transplant clinic and neighboring outpatient care clinic have a network of services designed to monitor your progress and assist you in obtaining the quality of life you desire. |
